A graduate of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., John P. Dodenhoff has years of experience in commercial real estate and financial services, working at some of the largest firms in the real estate, finance, and insurance industries.

John focused mainly on commercial office leasing & building sales in Washington, D.C. while employed by Julien J. Studley, Inc., Smithy Braedon ONCOR International, and Grubbs & Ellis Company. Additionally, John was also involved in the management and acquisition of self-storage centers while employed with Alco, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA.

During John’s tenure with American Express Financial Advisors, he focused on developing financial plans and investment strategies for his clients located in the Boston area. John also developed extensive experience with commercial auto insurance while employed by Berkshire Hathaway’s GEICO Insurance division in Fredricksburg, VA.

John’s greatest passion is helping people achieve their financial goals through active planning and the attentive management of their assets. At various times, he has also been able to pursue several “passion” projects, including serving as the Chief Operating Officer of a small technology startup in the Boston area as well as being employed as Field Producer on the 2012 documentary film Fixing America.

John’s passion for the history, culture, and art of the American West and the Northern Rocky Mountains led him to make his home in Cody, Wyoming in 2015. Here he is surrounded by great hiking, beautiful scenery, abundant wildlife, big blue skies, bright sunshine, fresh air, and, of course, great friends.
